Girl Scouts are awesome, but I don’t like door-to-door cookie sales. I worry that child predators with $5 bills and evil intentions lurk behind doors and I’m not the only person who feels this way. That’s why I felt relieved when I read that Girl Scout cookies are now available online. Will it remove the quaint, personal touch and sense of accomplishment girls achieve when they sell tonnage? Hardly. Given order tools invented by clever web developers, it would be just as easy to assign a sale credit to, for example, my great-granddaughter, eliminating those scary visits. Thin mints anyone?
