When I heard about Project Runway: Threads, I was eager to watch talented, pre-pubescent, wannabe designers whip up trendy fashions assisted by their parents on the Lifetime channel. I like precocious kids–but these children are creepy. One fashionista (age 13) is making plans, with mom’s encouragement, to open boutiques in the cities she prefers to visit: Milan, Paris and London. Seriously? There’s a 12-Step group waiting for this child. I had seen enough after 30 minutes and switched channels. Would someone please spank those parents, sign the kids up for soccer and Scouts and buy them Barbies to dress?
